Man, I think we need a list of the must do rides and dates!

Hey JR, I think we do have the calender thread but there is a lot of stuff to sift through.

I've already looking at upcoming events and starting to put in leave requests for 2011.
This is Bucho's starter list for 2011,
2/5 DAMN Get-Together (not really a ride, but you could ride there if you want)
3/5,6 Boyer Farm harescramble (possible DAMN dualsport class)
Granville's Spring Birthday Ride, (whenever he sets an official date)
4/29-5/1 DAMN Reunion, Greenridge Campout (come for a day and ride, or bring the whole family for the entire weekend)
End of June, Pikes Peak International Hillclimb monkey insanity
7/23,24 Jason's 777 Ride
August Michaux

this is what I'm starting with and I hope to add lots more where I can

To include Shenendoah 500 and HammerRun in October and November

I like Bucho's list, although as much as I'd like to go to Pike's Peak, it's probably too expensive. The only thing you need to add is an mdubya-led ride out west, especially if you have a supermoto.

No date yet, but I always enjoy Michaux in August.

Ive gone out to Oakland at least once a year for a Mdubya sumo ride. Ive yet to Michaux, but I really would like to do it this year.

Other rides you should strongly consider:
- HAMMER RUN! November
- Dirty Dabbers - early June

If you like more trail and less road then make sure to have 7-Mountains and RORR dual sports on your schedule also.
My top (3) are Hammer Run / RORR / 7-Mountains in that order.
7-Mountains would rank higher but I can ride it anytime during the year.
IMHO Michaux needs to work on reducing the amount of road they run.
Shen 500 and Dabbers are tops for giving a good long ride with a mix of trail & dirt road, much more noob friendly.

Michaux does have a lot of roads, but I really enjoy that in between the options. I'm a fan of high speed riding sometimes and thats what I like about Michaux, you get to do a little blasting, then tight trails then blasting then trails and so on. Different strokes for different folks, but I get annoyed when I do a whole day of riding and never really get to open her up. I like the dualsports for the mix.
