The Buell turned into an Aprilia after Tim saw Loosescrew's SXV.

Tim needs to login and 'splain.

Could be the SXV is just more bike than we need out here in the tight and twisty.

The Aprilia is just too much bike for me. It threw me down. I now have a new tatoo on the side of my leg. Under the tatoo is a metal plate and 6 screws. Really, I just made the stupidest mistake ever. I pulled the front brake in the yard. I just stepped off but into a hole. I was probably only moving 3 mph or less.

I've been off since Nov. 9. After 6 weeks the doc said my leg is not mending. I go back Feb. 2 for the next check-up. I'm preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. I just feel like I should try to turn the bike back into cash.

I'd like to get $5,500. Xtreme Powersports is selling the 08 450's for $6000. You have to pay $275 to get the smog stuff removed and then remapped. It has 130 miles on it, thats the ride home and one trip to Romney. This was going to be my second ride. I put on some plastic to make it all black. I also installed an Aprilia OEM Euro brake/tail light. Of course I have the other OEM lights. I also picked up an 8 liter tank and 20mm lower/narrower seat. These parts are usually for racing. I thought I'd just like a narrower bike. They are not installed.
I have the title in hand.

The bike is supposed to have 62 hp in its current trim. Allen at Xtreme Power Sports is touted as the best Aprilia mechanic on the east coast. If you check out the AF1 forum, you'll see proof. If you're up this way and bored, they are over by the Wisp ski resort.

Thats the scoop. Tell your friends about the sale or "lets make a deal".

sorry to hear about your "off" but don't foget, if they have to amputate the leg they make air shifters! :lol2:

I've already looked at the Recluse auto clutches. Have to think ahead. :brows:

DAMN, Tim, sorry to hear about your leg. I had a run-in with "non-union" on my collarbone, but it eventually knit. That sucks.
