Terraflex

Post by B DIRT »

I mounted a Terraflex bout two weeks ago for a big trip up NW PA. This thing is a monster! 150/80/18 and it throws mud like a mutha just ask seth :roost: I only got about 350 miles on it because we only rode on saturday and had to leave sunday morning due to a few bike issues. Image

The tire cleared the swingarm fine but ate the shit out of the mud guard! When I first mounted it I could spin threw the first three gears on the blacktop until I got her scuffed in good. I found it on a site for 87 bucks shipped.

I've got one setting in the garage that's never been mounted... I'm not sure the DRZ would have enough power to move that thing...

IIRC, there's a smaller version that would be OK on the DRZ. I've always wondered just what the hell you put on the front with a TerrorFlex.

I think that's my next dualsport tire. Soon as I get my MT21s wore out.

yeah it's the smaller one it's suppose to fit...

I don't really see the need for one honestly.

MT16 front and I'm still trying different rears. I think I'm going to see how the matching MT16 rear is. I've heard it's a little loose compared to like an s12 or an m12.

Have you tried the TrakMaster II? I'm about to mount a MT-16 front on my KTM and I have a TMII on the back.

I have used the Trakmaster a few times in the past and they work great but theyre soft and dont last long, the front tire tends to cup fairly quickly also but for the money and it being DOT you cant beat the price. I just spooned two on dennys XR650L before he sold it to my brother.

I don't really have much desire to deal with DOT rears any more. I just want the best rubber for the conditions I'm riding in. All pirelli fronts are DOT though just as an FYI.
