Thanks!! I'm not quite sure what took so long...probably because I'm old and slow... Actually, I just found out about the site from a fellow Thumpertalk riding buddy. I'll bet that he too shows up here before long.

What and where do you ride? I am a little over an hour south of you in Oakland, MD, just off of Route 219, south of Deep Creek Lake.

Yes it is. That was my group's primary ride area..had memberships...rode and camped there just about every weekend possible. We helped some with trail maintenance and that kind of stuff. They plan to be open next year...hope that's the case. Their closing is party responsible for my decision to get a plated dual sport type bike...and I'm really enjoying it.

Thanks for the welcome!! We street bike through Oakland from time to time...down to rte. 50 and then head east or west on it. We were just east of you today...rode down to Westernport...cut over to Romney and then back up to my buddies place near Bedford.

Yeah, I was on the cruiser yesterday. My riding buddies were on a big beemer and a CBR...the 400mxc is geared just a bit too slow right now for that kind of riding.
