Thanks for your reply. I find it interesting, just nothing I would be ready to park a gas powered bike for (yet).

Electrics can't really replace gas bikes yet (nor in the foreseeable future.) Range will continue to be an issue. They can be a fun 2nd bike though!

The one exception IMO might be the Mechatecno Dragonfly electric trials bike. Looks like it might even be better than gas. Range isn't typ a big issue w/ trials either.

Phoo found the new Fortnine UB video:

I also uploaded a video of my minimum throttle jerk. Not all of them have this problem. It seems to be something to do with the throttle itself. It makes it annoying in the rocks. I have a plan to fix it...

What is it with these guys and not using a 21" front?

Cost? The LB used identical rims/tubes/tires on both ends. The UB are different widths so no cost savings there.
Weight? The light weight spec looks good on paper. Stark even used weird (fragile) plastic TPU tubes to try and shave grams.
Product differentiation? The UB HAS to be cannibalizing sales from the Storm Bee which does have a 21" front.

The reality is most folks won't care w/ a 19" front. Appeal to the masses and not the niche market.

Cost and WEIGHT-using a 21 inch adds quite a bit of weight. I used a 26inch MTB downhill rim/tire and tire to get the bigger size but not all of that weight. It works good and can take abuse. The 21 inch is a nice rim, but it is heavier by a noticeable bit.

I figured how to replace the fork seals today. CRF150R 37mm oil and dust seals work!
Now trying to figure out how to get the rod out of the fork so I can see the damper and what can be done to improve it.

FWIW, 2.05kg(4.47#) difference going to a real 80/100-21 w/ HD tube on the Ultra Bee. The stock tires on the UB are pretty light weight and short little knobs. Just using a 19" real moto tire would make up for about half of that difference. Its a bigger difference over the oem Light Bee which has even lighter rims and tires (my notes say almost 2.5kg(5.5#))

FWIW, Torp has hit 60+hp on an Ultra Bee w/ their motor and controller. Should be announcing more this wk. That has to be ballistic.
