Sounds good Stephen, I was there in 2020 parked up top, directly above the DAMN crew if walking up or down thru the woods. Had a blast on the novice trails...if I can get the 890 back this week which I highly doubt :lol2: Ill bring that out also if you want to take it for a spin. If not Ill just hitch rack the 150 to fart around on. JohnF is threatening to go this Saturday also

Thanks for the offer but I'm doing the NEBDR next month w/ a friend that has an 890R. Im sure we'll swap rides at some point during the trip. I just put the Seat Concepts comfort XL seat on the 701 and took it out for a spin today. Its slightly taller (though they dont advertise it as such). I think becasue its wider it spreads my legs more. Anyway, I have to tip toe a little. An uncomfortable (and unfamiliar) feeling for me :lol2:

I'm bringing the electric contingent and will leave my 150XCW at home. It just got a workout at Hatfield 100mi over 4 days. I just reserved a powered camp spot (50A/240V) for Sat. I wont park over there but I can run over to charge the KTM E if needed. Was only an extra $10 over field camping. If I get off my butt and add a connector, I'll be able to charge the SurRons from the van. I need 240V AC for the KTM though and don't have a way to generate that yet.

Sounds good, I’ll keep an eye out for everyone now that I have an idea of the layout of the camping areas

So are we in the tent spot or the RV spot?

I'll be showing up Saturday morning with wife and two kids, leaving Sunday morning. Unfortunately, there's a family thing in the early afternoon on Sunday I have to rush back for.

Thanks,

~Patrick

I'm in the rv top side. Wind will be nice this weekend. Looks like I'm the first one here. Just past the spot we had last year

Reunion is a bit of a bust;) Phoo and Sam are the only others that made it ;)
Our adopted big scardy cat dog is mostly afraid to hang around outside. She didn't even bark at Sam (though was watching him carefully)

Talked to Phoo and we decided to bail tonight and just go home. So we grilled dinner, packed up and headed home to the comfy beds and AC.

Not so fast... I get home and house is hot. :knary: WTF. Quick diagnostics and the outside unit isn't running. It still has power but there is an alert. I spin the fan and press the contactor in manually and it still doesn't start. I pull power and check the cap. Open circuit on all 3 terminals (trying to measure capacitance.) :censored: Its too rusted to read any writing on it but will look up the unit's info and try to find one tomorrow morning. Like anyone will be open on Sun...

In retrospect, sleeping at Mountain Ridge tonight would have been a LOT more comfortable.

Bummer. I think maybe we had a good run? Idk like 15 years or so. I blame Ken.
Bummer about your AC also.

AC dead here also. Low pressure code and a leak was discovered. It's an 8 year old top of the line Carrier but apparently that didn't make it immune to corrosion. They are quoting freon, once the leak is fixed, at $199/lb and it's apparently going to need 14lbs. :frustrated:

At least the upstairs unit is still working and we have ceiling fans.

I blame Ken too :killingme:

@Twist Geez! what refrigerant does it run? R410A is ~$20/#. We had ours replaced 20yrs ago when we bought the house so its had a good run. It was 13.6 SEER which was WAY above what was required at the time (and still 'decent' today.) I found the cap specs and put another on order - should be here tomorrow.
