Kawasaki Heavy Industries spinning the motorcycle division

Kawasaki Heavy Industries is so diverse, doesn't surprise me they are finally breaking up some of these divisions. KHI also build warships!

'spin-off' usually means they create another company. This sounds more just like internal restructuring. Doesn't sound like KHI is actually going to sell the moto division (yet.)

True but its kinda like FCAU spinning off the Ram division. Its just a matter of time before Dodge disappears then Chrysler. After all their most popular vehicles are based off a 20 year old Mercedes chassis. About the only thing they have goin for them is the Cummins engines and Jeep.
