I can't come but am willing to loan my Husky 465 Rancher with a measly 24" bar. Bucho can bring it with him. He's borrowed it before.

An 044 is probably around 15 years old, the same saw today would be a 440 model. They were great saws. Assuming its still all OEM with good compression, that's a $400 saw you got there. My buddy has one and runs a 28" bar on it and the saw has plenty of power even with the big bar (although he does run skip chain on it). It is a pretty big saw but great for falling and bucking and also for building dirt bike mussels!
As a relative beginner I put a short bar on it. With a fresh chain it cuts through big logs like butter. And it builds muscles lugging it around

Not sure if I can make this event. Really want to. Im working that Friday and Saturday night.

If weather is fit for me to get my van to your lot you can count me in for saturday. Have a back pack chain saw perfect for that task also a brush saw that makes short work of face slappers. Will see if I can fill the van with helpers.....Yo Bruce???

Your van will be fine absent snow/ice.
I can do Saturday and I have a 16" saw.

Van pool, details later?

I'm in. Likely will be there Fri night, like 8-9pm.

I only have a machete here :lol2: so if anyone would take a spare chainsaw for me, would be great.

How do we get around there? Do we take our bikes with us or something else?

Not everyone needs a saw. Its often good to work in pairs. One guy cutting with saw and another helping to move and clear stuff being cut.

The hand tools are still very useful.

And hands too, I guess :lol2:
Ok, I'll come with my hands and help in the way I can
