This one? How much are they asking?

I have a 2012 I picked up last year. IIRC, the 2012-2016 are the same.

I was just wondering if anybody here was familiar with that particular bike because they had traded it in, or a friend had. That sort of thing. It was worth a shot. Thanks. Still trying to figure out the right DS bike for me.

"Call for Price"... that is really annoying. Anyway, I think a 500\501 what ever would make a great true 50/50 dual sport bike. I know some guys that ride them off road that I can barely keep in sight so clearly they are very capable machines and I think their road manners are just as good depending on how you set it up and gear it.
But it also depends on your personal definition of "50/50"and what you want to do with it. Oil capacity/maintenance intervals/comfort are also a consideration if you really don't need the bike to be for real off-road capable. Any bike can get you down a gravel road to the next Starbucks; I have a shed full of them....
Good luck with the hunt.

I'll say this.
I bought new, rode, and traded a purely off road bike with 80 hours ~1300 miles
That bike has 160 hours and 5000 miles. So I'd guess that bike saw more "road" than trail.
Whether that is good or bad is debatable!
Everybody loves that 500, and that one looks clean

A 500EXC w/ an aftermarket seat would have been nice for the KAT trip...Skinny-J wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 1:52 pm"Call for Price"... that is really annoying.
