Well, that sucks but it's good that Beta is sending you a new frame anyways. It'll be a new bike by the time it's back together.

Will they give a new frame number too (I know honda wouldn't do that ~20 year ago)?

Yeah, honda provided a little plate with the old vin on it and the shop did something to the old frame to make it unusable (this is all from memory as I decided not to replace my dented but still straight frame).
