April 13, 14, 15 of this year. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Easter is on April 16.

Franklin, WV

Accomodations: Thompson's Motel 33 US Hwy 220, Franklin, WV 26807 (304) 358-2331

No cell service in the town/motel. Get a motel room that's upstairs and faces the back lot. It has a front balcony overlooking the front lot but you can park at entrance level to the 2nd floor in the back lot.

I'm going (as long as I have my bike back together), Gene is going, Gene's nephews are probably going, and I think a couple more people so far. Gene and I will compile some dual sport roads in the area for riding around on Friday/Saturday. We've ridden over there before and I'm sure many of you have, too. There are views, quaint little towns, twisty asphalt, forest roads, and some trails.

This will be a 650 capable type ride.

I intend on arriving Thursday morning and doing some riding that day, but I think the majority of people will arrive Thursday evening because of work or something like that.

That's a great area. Its been a while but MDubya used to run some amazing dualsport/supermoto rides out of Oakland Md and I remember stopping in Cass for gas and snacks.

Tempting. I could maybe do Thursday and Friday... But I'm probably dreaming.

Sounds like a cool ride.

Sprint built a tower down there. Full 4g LTE in town and about 5-10 miles out.

So there still isn't cell service there?

Back to the top for this. The trip is next week!

So far, 6 people going. The current plan is two days of dual sporting on Thursday/Friday, spending both nights in Franklin, and then riding Boyer's Farm on Saturday.

Anyone else want to go?
