We're gonna build a mx/enduro cross track or something
We're gonna build a mx/enduro cross track or something
Big plans, maybe? My daughter and my SIL have about 5+ acres. 50/50 woods/open. Not much flat. Narrow and deeeep ravine in middle. Think of a large "V" with woods on one side and open field on the other and the ravine down middle. Everything slopes to the ravine, not a drastic slope. Steeper on the woods side.
We all ride motos, atv's and Jeeps. We have a few small trails, enough to have fun and not get really bored.
We're going to rent some dirt moving equipment and try to make something good(er).
We plan to start laying it out this weekend.
MX layouts are easy. I have ideas about trials type stuff and enduro cross. No big tires. Maybe cut some trees, bring in some decent sized rocks.
I'm looking for ideas, tips, hints, etc.

Big peaky 60 foot doubles that launch across the ravine with a real short run up!!!!
Re: We're gonna build a mx/enduro cross track or something
I am thinking the operating of the rented equipment and mention of something deep to get stuck in the bottom of should be video worthy
If you do want big tire I can hook you up but might need something more than your pick up to haul.
So next MAVT event at your place???

MMMM. Yeah, you would have big tires.
Let's see if we can get thru "phase one" without incident

Oh that was definitely tongue in cheek. If I want to do that Budds Creek High Point or Rocket Raceway will accommodate.dirtygrunt wrote:That's the way my SIL thinks. Me, not so much.anotherguy wrote:Big peaky 60 foot doubles that launch across the ravine with a real short run up!!!!

Cool Dirty. A fun little track/trail through the woods and ravine sound cool.
You should accept the tires from BoomBoom. You can always put them in now and either just have a "go around" or maybe build a dirt ramp for now till you get more comfortable.

Got equipment reserved for 10 Sept. We did some layout stuff and then did some riding to see if it flowed. Cut some brush, etc.
About those tires....how big? I got a 6x12 trailer that holds 2500#
I see tires buried upright, is that correct?
