Collar bone fix

Post by J&J » Thu Oct 16, 2014 5:04 pm

Some of you know I broke my collar bone on July 4th.... went over the handlebars trying not to run over my boy. Really dumb kind of freak thing but I was going way too fast behind him
Many dirt bike guys have had broken collar bones so I'm not sure if that initiates me or just makes me a dumb ass
After three months of being told it would heal on its own I saw a specialist who told me not only that the collar bone needed to be fixed but so did my rotator cuff.

So..... I got the DAMN thing fixed last Thursday

That sucks! I've had a good friend of mine deal with something similar. 4 months of "it'll heal," followed by screws, plates, and a badass scar.

Dang J!

At least now it will heal proper and hopefully the worst is behind you.

Hope to see you riding again soon.

Ah bugger!!

Im part of the idiot "dirtbiker over the handle bars" club. I broke my collar bone and had a crack down my scapula. But luckily I was only 23 or so and was back to work in 6-7 weeks.
I hope now that you've had surgery things will heal up.

I hate staples; would rather have stitches.

Worst part about staples...
When they pull out a big pair of pliers to pull them out.

When mine came out, I said something to the effect of, "WTF do you think you're doing!" It didn't hurt, but it did freak me out.
