That is what Husaberg, Gas Gas, KTM and most others have been using.

They should have paid me to test it first - might be okay for leetle people!

I think you may be underestimating the strengths of today's composites and design technologies. Subframes have been going to plastic for a while now. And you should see the subframe on my race bike. :-)
