DAKAR 2013!!!!!!

Is everybody getting excited for the upcoming Dakar Rally???

Looks like Marc Coma is out from an injury and KTM have brought forward American Kurt Casselli to be one of their sponsored riders. I think they just want him to finish this year, but it would be cool if he could do well in the next couple years.
I of course love watching the bikes. But my second favorite are the huge trucks. We will see if the mighty Russian Kamaz Team can take back the truck title this year.

If there are any newbies here on the DAMNsite who don't know or have never watched any Dakar footage, do youself a favor and check it out. I'd say hands down, this is my favorite sporting event of the year.

Its not that I hate football, or basketball, or baseball, or nascar (though I have little to no interest in them). But it does enfuriate me that way more awesome stuff like the Dakar is almost completely unknown in the United States. All we get on TV is a short half hour daily summary of the days Dakar, while other gay sports have hours and hours of stupid stuff.

Just follow the advrider race thread, nearly 15,000 posts last year. Beginning to look like the teams and the news crews get most of their info there. Should be a short video recap nightly on NBCSP.
