Saturday was against a boy about her age and two younger boys. Sunday was against a boy ~12 on a TXT80. The youth sections were a little harder than I had expected, but very doable. She opted to ride cautiously - sitting and using her feet where necessary so that she could make all of the sections - she didn't want any fives. She did manage 1 clean on Saturday and a couple on Sunday (3 loops of 3 sections). The boy on the 80 was a better rider and made fewer but bigger mistakes (he took a few fives). He beat her by one point. She checked the scores on her own and was very proud to have been so close to him. She rode the Oset on Saturday and the XR50 on Sunday. She'd been riding the XR around the camp on Sunday morning and wanted to try it in the trial. She's more comfortable on it - especially when sitting.All that said, she had way more fun playing in the creek with the other kids.
I rode probably the best I ever have and managed 2nd both days. I even had a clean loop on Sunday.
