9/11, Cancelled enduro concellation ride

Well I took leave from work so I could do the enduro this weekend. I'm riding somewhere on Sunday.
Shade Mtn?
Tasker's Gap?
7 Mtns?

Anyone have any good ideas?

Going to be at Shade next sunday for trail work and ride so I am not planning on riding Shade this sunday.
7-mountains is a good option.
Waiting on a reply from a friend on conditions at Summit Hill.
If Summit Hill is good to ride then that is the direction I am going and you are welcome to go along, great single track.

Never been to Tasker's Gap? I think it's closer?

Tasker's Gap is about 2 hours (or a tick under) for us Sam.
I could be up for that. It certainly has the rocky terrain to test out my suspension.

I already got the hall pass, so I'd like to go ride. If nothing pans out, I do have a full day otherwise, but I'd rather ride. :)

Have you guys ridden The Cove before?

Looks like they didn't get much rain.
Plenty of rocks and a fun single track section.
About a 2 hour drive for me, should be much closer for you.
It is a pay to ride area, $25 I think.

Well I just checked the Cove schedule and a 4x4 club is having a gathering.
Last time I was there that a jeep gathering was going on they had the trails all pluged up and acted like they owned the place.
No thanks, Cove is off my weekend ride list.
How much riding is at Taskers?

I checked with the forest service this morning and they told me that taskers gap is not open for riding currently. The women I spoke to told me they had installed new culverts and they are waiting for these to settle in. She claimed it had been closed most of the summer and they are not sure when it will open, this fall or even in the spring.

I copied this notice off the web site which does not seem to completely support what she told me.

The road to the Taskers Gap Parking Lot has been closed due to flood damage indefinetely. Currently there is no access to the Taskers Gap Road (Trail #553) for 4-wheel Drive vehicles. All Terrain Vehicles can still access the trails from the Edinburg Gap Parking Lot.

The extent of the flood damage is unknown on the Peters Mill Run and Taskers Gap OHV Trails. Please use caution and be prepared for flood damaged trails.

Looks like Taskers is out.
The Cove is hosting a 4x4 club so that impacts good trail riding.
The South Penn Enduro guys will be at Shade sunday morning so we could go ride with them.
Summit Hill not looking good with all the flooding up that direction but still might be an option.
I can only imagine how pissed the SPER guys are with DCNR.
Michaux didn't recieve enough rain to justify the state pulling the plug.
That mountain is rocks or sand and drains well and would have made for EPIC riding conditions by sunday.
