Almost last Lap at GR - Sunday April 17th
Re: Almost last Lap at GR - Sunday April 17th
Too the pain, it is starting to sink in. First ride of the year, and I am good and sore from riding and not falling.

a great last ride; and a first!
My first tube change in the field
mdubya did emergency clutch repair too; although it was fund watching him ride the loop with no clutch

Some weak phone photos:
Foreshadowing conditions in the parking lot.
Looking up Mertens toward Stafford
Conditions were good in a lot of spots
It was just a little bit damp in others
This one could have easily produced a golden snorkel award.
My 9 year old beast is still ridiculously competent, as long as I keep it working properly
Bobby Bones' aka restukey's 525
Kyler's 450
By mid afternoon temps were in the low 60's and conditions were very nice if you don't mind soggy shoes. The whole ride was bittersweet, though.

agree - it was probably the best ride I've had there. I felt great and was able to hang with you two speed demons until you got to East Valley.mdubya wrote:The whole ride was bittersweet, though.
I kept thinking how the conditions were close to the first ride there on my KLR dresser. What a difference a few years and a better bike make.

Good pics.
Ken- remember 10mm socket and 12mm socket/wrench.
Did you guys see the red Artic Cat 700 that rolled there. So much for putting lift kits on and taking corners fast.
Or the father driving the new TTR 125 with his son on back. Yeah that looked like disaster waiting to happen.
