DAMN Ebay

Post by frogman1981 » Fri Mar 11, 2011 6:59 pm

I bought Motion Pro throttle cables, to fit my DRZ 400. They only fit backward (roll throttle forward to accelerate). WTF  Just a little warning for other DRZ guys.

Sorry, looks like I goofed. :wallbash: The listing could have been better. It's an E model cable set, and it's for sale $20 local pick up.

Check the part numbers?

Btw, I think I can take you at Greenridge, finally, If you're stuck in reverse.

The Ebay ad said drz 400 s 2000 to 2010. I can still use it, just have to roll the throttle tube forward instead of back.
Might be a close one at Greenridge :whoop:

Crap, I just realized your going to be stuck in fast forward. Return that cable!

All kidding aside, I think you might be able to rotate the throttle housing a little and change the slack? I remember the same issue on my Husky. If it were an FCR, I'd say to forgetabout the return cable. I cut mine when it frayed, no issues. Not sure how that would workout on your carb?

I wish I could but it wouldn't fit, not long enough.

Thanx for the info, I figured out the problem though. Looks like I ordered a cable set for a E (off road) model DRZ. Oops.
I still haven't heard from the seller. :frustrated:
Anybody with an FCR carb need a cable set?
