My parents live one or two towns from Daytona, so we use "Bike Week" as the excuse to go down and visit them. Plus there are things all around the outskirts that can be fun. Downtown is lame, though I think we're going to see the 200 this year as a thing to do on Saturday.

Piney Mountain Ridge Road that runs north and south along the eastern edge of Michaux is closed (gated) after deer season until the last Friday in May (27th), all the others remain open all year long, although you may need ice screws during the winter on a bike. I have several mason jars full of them if anyone wants to install their own!
