Green Ridge - 7/03

Post by CapoGreg »

Anybody interested in going to Green Ridge this Saturday? I'm planning on taking the wife and the Mule, so it's not going to be a fast ride. Bikes are welcome to join us, you don't have to be on an ATV and we can provide breakdown support/recovery for anyone on a KTM :amazon:

Had to work mandatory OT today, but got out at 9:15 and was on the road by 10:00. Didn't take the Mule, just rode around GR in the Jeep. Made a wrong turn and ended up driving the East Valley section of the ORV from Stafford to Lower Mertens. It was a bit of a challenge in a stock Liberty with highway tires, but we didn't have any serious problems, just the mudpits were slippery and some of the rockbeds were hard to pick through without dragging parts. All in all a good day, saw most of the forest and the bridge at Oldtown, which is...I'll just call it interesting.

That Oldtown bridge is the way I go to and from GR everytime. :deal:

'Twas a beautiful day to be out and about anywhere. Being in the woods in a State Forest = even better. I visited a few today myself. :rickey:

Ha, shift and I saw you at the overlook (I remember thinking how much it sucks to be in a cast...) as we were leaving in a red S-10. It was a beautiful day - hope that weather comes back soon.

I was wondering if that was some DAMN riders in that S-10.

Brian, if it wasn't such a long ride up there, I'd put the Mule on my 18 ft flatbed and come get you and Red.

It's not that your far away, it's the ride up to your place and then down to GR (and back) would take a DAMN long time pulling that trailer, especially for a day trip. If we were to camp over a weekend, I could probably handle that.
