BeaveRun Sunday May 30th

Post by mdubya » Thu Jun 03, 2010 1:10 am

Some photos from what turned out to be the most moto fun I have had all year. restukey dragged me out there, dpasseto sent a bike for me to ride and slidenrin and spnce offered up rides on their bikes to not only keep me busy, but to open my eyes. restukey aka Bobby F. Bones put me on his awesome KTM for a few sessions too.

Spnce's beastly Aprilia. I got to ride this thing and the Husky next to it. The Husky was nice, but the Aprilia was extremely well sorted. Best suspension and slipper clutch I have encountered, great brakes, and way more motor than you could ever need on the BeaveRun kart track. That meant that the bike with the fastest motor also gave the most confidence to push hard into silly territory and was the easiest to ride. You can only imagine how the combination adds up. :bandit: :screwy:

I have to give it to BeaveRun. They provide a laid back and welcoming atmosphere for track junkies of all sorts. This attitude simply makes going there a more enjoyable experience.

There were a couple of cool cars there too.

I like this one:

Shot thru the scoop in the hood!

Rousch Racing NASCAR short track motor. A mere 500 odd HP.

Look ma, no steering wheel!

I especially liked this car:

The Vert has been down and out since middle of the summer last year. Alex at RAM is working on getting it back up and running.

You would have done great at this event. There is another on July 11th, a Sunday. And there is the Wednesday practice days too.

Yes. But they don't usually have it open on practice days.

On the Wednesday, middle of the week practices last year, we went ahead and used it anyway and they never said anything about it.

I am more than happy just running the asphalt at BeaveRun, though.
