I've been listening to the Toy Dolls since 1984. I even had a hamster named "Flip", named after the original bass player. You can't go wrong with anything off the "Far Out Disc" and "Dig That Groove, Baby" records.

I just did a whirlwind trip back to Montgomery County to visit my mom for a few days. I spent the entire time I was there listening to 89.3 WPFW. They play jazz, old r&b, and blues, along with some pretty out there hip hop. Listen sponsored, way different than almost anything else on the radio. Out here, if I get close enough to Morgantown, I can get WVU's station which is usually quite interesting and entertaining.

2 other bands i started listening to recently are dropkick murphys and against me.

I've always been a fan of the Pogues, and now I've come to enjoy many of the newer Irish influenced bands also like DKM, Flogging Molly, Tossers, and the Pubcrawlwers.
