I've been listening to the Toy Dolls since 1984. I even had a hamster named "Flip", named after the original bass player. You can't go wrong with anything off the "Far Out Disc" and "Dig That Groove, Baby" records.

I just did a whirlwind trip back to Montgomery County to visit my mom for a few days. I spent the entire time I was there listening to 89.3 WPFW. They play jazz, old r&b, and blues, along with some pretty out there hip hop. Listen sponsored, way different than almost anything else on the radio. Out here, if I get close enough to Morgantown, I can get WVU's station which is usually quite interesting and entertaining.

For those long trips, at speed, on Route 68, The Who, "Live at Leeds" is tough to beat:

I love Keith Moon. He was completely out of his mind.

I've always been a fan of the Pogues, and now I've come to enjoy many of the newer Irish influenced bands also like DKM, Flogging Molly, Tossers, and the Pubcrawlwers.

Not Irish influenced, but still good

more Maryland Doom; Spirit Caravan.

These guys played in my basement several times even though they headlined at the 9:30 Club, opened for the likes of Motorhead and Pantera, and played successful tours in Europe.
