R&T Trials Event yesterday 18 April

Post by Firebolter » Mon Apr 19, 2010 7:29 am

If you made it out, you saw how perfect it was for trials. Traction was perfect. It was a good time and a good turn out! 10 really nice sections where some of the three line ran with the 1/2 lines in some sections. A really nice downhill creek crawl through rocks. Nice rock sections, R&T property is perfect for trials. I even manage to "Sand Bag" my way into this for the Modern B class (3 Line). I dropped 4 points total for the day. 2 times consecutive in the same 2 sections!

Nice job
It has been a while since I snagged any hardware, perhaps I need to try that sandbagging thing.
4 points for the day is a good ride no matter what class you ride.
I drop that many points just getting warmed up :wallbash:

CONGRATULATIONS! That is some FINE riding!

I was working the event and it seemed EVERYBODY was REALLY enjoying it. Lots of Smiles!!

As soon as I get my new to me 2007 KTM XCW sorted out and inspected, etc. I'll have to dust off the old 1972 OSSA MAR and see IF I can get it running and IF I can still ride it?

PS: I may ask for some help in setting up the KTM as I see you have a similar one.

I used the JD kit for mine. It ran okay with the stock needles but the JD tapered needles are alot better. I haven't touched it now in 3 years except I will go up on the main in deep winter if I am racing, but for the most part it runs really clean.

That is some DAMN fine looking riding area.
Never been there before but I have friends from Scranton Pa that drive all that distance to make the vintage ride. They only have good things to say about the ride and guys that organize the event.
