I'll up the annie ... by saying you're welcome to come out and borrow my dr or kath's xt and run it a few times on either of those before running it on the 990, however, if you do this.. I expect nothing but good things come time to run the 990 thru there. I might be swayed if I put TKC's on it, however, even then it wouldn't be as much fun as the dr or xt. 
though if you want to go up annie, that is your and kath's business.

AS long as you have something other than the OEM Scorpions on it that are more agressive for the dirt... Scorps suck for big bikes, they break loose at the wrong times and the 990 is a big bike to manhandle.. If I ever put em on my 990 I'll be your huckleberry... However, I gots me roadmaster totally street tires on mine (same type as what was on their at Code's bbq year before last). I got the XRL for the dirt stuff .... Which should be ready to ride in a week with a new top end in it..
