Dirty Dabbers June 5/6 2010 - Mill Hall, PA
Re: Dirty Dabbers June 5/6 2010 - Mill Hall, PA
Engine break-in procedure is definitely one arguable topic. I hear some say to take it easy and keep it under a certain RPM, others say to ride it like you normally would. I guess lucky for me, I've yet to afford anything with a brand new engine so I've never had to worry about break-in. I'd probably choose to do an easy break-in, no harm usually comes from taking it easy on an engine and keeping the RPMs low. Of course unless it's a fresh CR500 motor going up a hill

Carnage and trail-side maintenance report:
- 2 broken mirrors
- 1 shifter came loose
- 1 shifter bend 180 degrees
- 1 dented muffler
- 1 license plate nearly ripped off
- what did I miss???
Awards:
- a new Tree Hugger inductee
And anyone caught with a Rekluse clutch and a trials tire is a DAMN Cheater!
okay - time for a shower and then I'll post a bit more.

Loaded up (thanks again JR)
My bivy sack and tarp setup in a sea full of trailers.
Just a few DAMN guys waiting for the rider's meeting
I don't know how he rode in that suit...
Lots of orange this weekend
some cool old hardware too
Into the woods!
Waiting around for me to unbend my shifter
Seems to be a theme for the weekend :D

The Tree Hugger award goes to... me!
No real damage...
Ken's "Where the f_ck are they?!" pose, seen often usually thanks to me going slow, especially after stopping on uphills.
Lunch!
BMW guy's still kickin
Pretty overlook

btw, it was amazing the number of people who came up and commented on the DAMN jerseys. Had several lurkers come up and say hello too.
At the end of the day it would have been cool to have a DAMN T-shirt to wear to the dinner and social. Personally, I'd like to get some DAMN T-shirts made (same design but without names to keep costs down).

It was a great time. Only damage in our group, Chris' left mirror was shattered by a rock coming out from my REAR TIRE ON A UPHILL! I passed him on the left and had to gas it, 525+lots of throttle=shower of Sheet!!!
........ Lots of good trail, one really nice hill climb on the alternate Saturday. Sunday was a "faster" pace day. My only complaint was how people would stop on the trail, on both sides no less and talk while people are trying to ride by. Other than that, it was a fun event. Right after you guys left the Hyner Look Out, The Gorilla rode up! This kid rode the entire event with this Gorilla suite on. He would take the mask off to put his helmet on, but if he stopped, helmet off, Gorilla mask on!
The trusty 525! Makes hills look like little bumps!
Awesome views
Nice Spaghetti lunch Sunday at the fire hall.
