Posted on Adv Rider, he was complaining that the side stand won't hold up his loaded 990. 160 pounds of gear, for a trip to Florida! He is 245. Unreal. I don't think I have 160 pounds of gear I could even pack...This is mind boggling. I cant imagine riding a bike that overloaded.

I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.
Dig This Guys Loaded 990
Re: Dig This Guys Loaded 990
I had that problem on my KLR when I loaded it up for a trip. I had to shorten the sidestand.

You got 160 pounds of gear on a KLR?!
Re: Dig This Guys Loaded 990
Jeez, dude, leave the cappuccino maker at home.
I thought *I* had a tendency to over-pack.

It was a latte machine and it alone weighed 75#!
I think I had about 75# of gear, etc plus me at 230#. The bike would definitely sag and the stand was too long. BUT, thanks to Roadracer Al (before he defected to The Republic of Kalifornia) I got a shorter sidestand.
