I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Mike, Joe, Patrick and I made the event. He's a few happy faces.
KTM had all the cool bikes to ride - here's a lineup anyone would drool over
I rode the 690 Enduro and the 990 Adventure - DO NOT ride a 690 Enduro if you value your credit score! DAMN what a fine bike!!!!!!! That would be a perfect replacement for the KLR and twice as good. I loved the 990 as well and think one might be in my future. WingFixer let me ride his Connie and that is a saweeeet bike but I think I'd get way too many speeding tickets.
Jim had a pretty good turnout of riders. I hope that resulted in some sales.
and speaking of Jim - here he is!
so, after a morning of pure bike porn, we did a little ride over by the Potomac.
two fine looking DS bikes, eh? I'm not sure WF knows a Connie isn't a DS bike
I had a great day. I met a lot of new folks very interested in DAMN Riders so hopefully we'll have some new faces!

Really cool riding today, I rode the 690 smc and the RC8. Both bikes would be serious trouble for my drivers license. The after porn ride was a blast!! Ken, I need to get the name of that road you took us on, the one that ran by the river, that was a total blast! For the rest of you that know Ken, don't let him fool you with his "I am just a slow, old man" , he was setting a pretty good pace on the twisties with his TKC shod KTM. He might still be "old" but he is certainly not slow.
F*** work.

I would have really like to ride one of those 690s, either the SMC or enduro.
Is it true they aren't paint shakers like the older LC4 engines?

no way - that was one smooth bike. Felt very light - was almost like riding my 450 except a LOT OF POWER... handled better too.Bucho wrote:I would have really like to ride one of those 690s, either the SMC or enduro.

I turned that feature off a while ago, it kept getting clogged up. I did think to turn it on during the ride but couldn't take my hand off the grip long enoughKyler wrote: by chance did you download the track from your Garmin? Hmmm????

The SMC was pretty smooth, for a thumper, until you got it into the upper reaches off the tach, still not bad but it is a thumper after all.Bucho wrote:I would have really like to ride one of those 690s, either the SMC or enduro.

Great meeting mike and Patrick, and of course good seeing the slow old guy again. Lol
wish I coulve hung around for atleast one demo, but still had fun seeing y'all up there and drooling over the drz 400 sm.
I would be such a hooligan on that bike.
Did the chaos Easter egg hunt with cam and family (20,000 eggs and a zillion little kids) it's pretty funny to see. Later took the 350 out for a jaunt..... Came around a turn about 4miles from the house to an open field and darting about 3' above the ground across the field headed right towards me is a md medivac chopper!
Apparently someone on a black sportbike (looked like a fz) was bein a hooligan and flipped there bike over a guardrail falling down a 12' cliff into another field.
The warm temps & sun comes out and so does the want to go fast..... Be safe. Tired of statistics!
