A great day riding on Friday and Saturday!

I drove up w/ my pal Adam and we towed his JumpingJack tent/camper/trailer/thingee

After a quick camp set up we headed for a ride w/ new guy Tod. (Lots of new guys this weekend, tough to keep track)

Tod is rocking a big 500 and rode it well.




Pic doesn't show but this is a pretty steep downhill. Hopping down each log was a little nerve wracking...

I brought a camp dog this time. I don't think she annoyed anyone too much or stole any food.

First thing Sat morning, I was going to take Adam (who is still fairly new offroad rider), on one of the easier single track pieces but Patrick and Jay tell me about this "new" single track I should check out. Adam and I follow and he does well till he gets stuck in a small mud bog that wasn't there the day before. (it rained pretty good during the night) Tires him out and he gets stuck in a second mud bog. Now pretty exhausted he is messing up stuff he could do if he was fresh. A viscous downward spiral of being tired and crashing, and then getting more tired each time he picks his bike up...

Finally on this last obstacle just before the end. A steep, slight off camber hill he makes it 90% of the way up but then loses it. He tumbles all the way back down. Luckily the bike digs in halfway down and doesn't crush him under 300+lbs.

We finally make it out on the road and I stop to consult a map. I glance up and he has all his riding gear stripped off and laying down. "hey, do you want to hit one more trail?"

His only response

Later I went back out w/ another group of guys. Lots of new guys ( I can't match everyone's name to their screen names).
We hit an awesome stretch of single track and had such a kickazz ride!

I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Kevin (Tigerballs), he is doing a great job cutting in some super fun single track.


Here is Jed having trouble w/ the same mud hole that murdered Adam earlier in the day.
