Glad this worked out for you. I was going to mention (before I realized this thread was really old) that my WR passed with an Endurance computer. I did jury-rig a chain guard onto it and I had to "fab" a drop-down fender to close the gap between the rear wheel and the fender. That drop-down fender was atrocious and a safety hazard because it hit the wheel under compression. Needless to say, I removed it before leaving the parking lot. ;)

But, the real reason I'm posting... Ellicott City is doing inspections again? Last I talked to them, they were having some sort of trouble where they lost their license to do so.

They must be because I have the paper to prove it. The Baja Designs kit on bike is perfect down to the front and rear brake lights plus two mirrors. So I thought it would pass without endangering anybody's license - including mine. The only items that were even questionable were the lack of a swingarm chain guard and no buddy pegs.

But only the guys at the Annapolis scooter shop would think an MXC is a two passenger bike. The subframe probably wouldn't even hold the tool kit from my LC4. So I figured any dirt shop would agree that it is a one seat bike. And I would have just ordered an EXC chainguard if they pressed me on it. But I am trying to get this done before the Shenandoah 500. So I put up a little fuss about that.

I plan to be 100% legal all the time with this bike because I suspect a street legal MXC is going to attract some LEO attention in Annapolis. :lol2:

Yup , I had the guy agree also, after I told him to check statutes, no chain guard needed if not originally equipped. & if no buddy pegs, no seat strap or hold on bar necessary. He did ask me for neutral light, & I said, "never had one, it's kickstart only." I did put an LED on for the high beam , just in case. And glad I did.

I have been running MT21's for about the last 20 years. I am rethinking that since they seem to evaporate on my LC4. But, yes, I always run DOT legal knobs.

MT21's are not only DOT approved they somehow managed an "R" speed rating in case you want to do 106 mph on them. :brows:
