Nice jack! I have one of those as well. The handle wouldn't stay in the jack any longer, so I welded it in place.
Funny thing about that jack. I have one that is quite old, 2.5 ton capacity, that is solid as a rock. When I got the Corvette I needed to get a second one because that car is so low I need to lift both sides at the same time so I get "the same" jack, except now it's updated and "3 ton capacity." The new one won't stay up. Yes, you are supposed to always use a jack stand, but historically I would use the jack to hold up the item with the stand in place as a backup. You can't do that with the new one. Harbor Freight strikes again! That said, I do love them. Super low profile for getting under cars, lift fast until they make contact, then they give good mechanical advantage to do the actual lifting. I just wish the new one was as solid as the old one.

Nice GREEN Color Phoo!
Thanks. Coupled with a tan interior. Classic. I love it, and more importantly, the wife does, too.
Phoo, I have a set of Quick Jacks for my Vette. If you ever need to borrow them let me know. They lift the car up 26 inches and makes it easy to get underneath to work on stuff.

I think my HF jack is at least 15 years old. I can't remember if it is 2.5T or 3T, but it works well and does hold the vehicle up the entire time. Perhaps your new jack just has a leaky internal seal that could be rebuilt. I have thought about buying a quality jack at some point, but spending $500+ on a rolling floor jack seems ridiculous for how often I actually use one. I do oil changes on ramps for the Explorer, but the Suburban, F150, and 4Runner are tall enough to just crawl under. The Tesla doesn't have oil changes. About the only time I use a jack is for swapping tires at this point. I may get a floor lift someday...

Cool. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind for when I need to lift all four corners of the car, which I actually did have to do recently.
Did the big brake install and added my new rims and tires yesterday. what awesome weather we have right now! Decided to do a trans level check while she was up in the air, what a PIA to check levels on 10R80's! I also installed a remote dip stick to the trans so no more need to lift to check level now.
Went down to Roberts (repoe from those of you who rode the last KAT) and used his Quick Jacks to do my truck. Love them things!
Wilwood 6 pistons really work well. Just about ready for Drag Week!
