Stellantis has run these American companies into the ground. They are gutting Chrysler and executives from BYD (Chinese E car maker) were here in Detroit this week, looking over Dodge. Current rumor is RAM and Dodge will be combined and sold off, likely to BYD and CHrysler will either be kiled off or sold as part of the bundle. Stellantis is "offering" buy outs to Chrysler non union management and if you don't take the buyout, well you get fired-
Sad day for Dodge and if you are currently in the market for a new Dodge/RAM vehicle, you might want to re-think that as your dealer might not even be a Dodge dealer in the future-Large dealer conglomerates are not buying anymore cars from Stellantis. One large dealer in NC is in a 180 million law suit now over Stellantis not following the state laws IRT buybacks etc.
It's a mess-The sad thing is, if this sell goes through to BYD, now the Chinese have a direct in to sale their electric cars in the US and get around tariffs as the vehicles would be built here and the money goes to China-

Well, it is starting, 2450 Dodge workers being laid off in Michigan this week. Stellantis was formed in 2021 when Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot S.A. merged. Only took em' 3 years to screw up another American company.

Chrysler has been screwed up since Before Iacocca came in and bought them a few decent years. It's a real shame that we Americans can't support our American companies and continue to send our money to foreign companies. Bad for America but good for Asia.

Chrysler (Stellantis) is a foreign company. No different than Toyota. Both make some of their vehicles here.

Generally speaking I'm a big fan of free markets and if you make a better product for a better value then that's what I'll buy regardless of where it comes from (well, I do have a heavy bias against China). That said, it hasn't been a free market for a long long time, if ever. Still, when I went shopping for a full sized pick up truck I told myself if I'm ever going make a point of buying American it will be that. And then I discovered that the only two trucks almost entirely made in America are Toyotas and Fords. Everything else from Chevy/GMC and Dodge were far behind.

Yup, similar situation here, I went with a F150 with a v8. Worried I wouldn't be able to get one in the future without spending alot more or having to buy used-I did not want a RAM and definitely didn't want a Chevy/GMC. I wanted a full size with a V8.
Just saw an article that said that 30% of all inventories on Dodge/Chrysler lots today are 2023 model year vehicles!
FORD has issues as well, they had the largest warranty work last year of any manufacturer.
Chevy has alot of issues. QA mostly.
New Toyota's trucks are having engine issues.
Nissan is tanking, in the US anyway
Strange times today-I mean FOrd is looking at making a 4 door Mustang! What the hell!
