Well a couple of days ago, I had to get the ole thumper onto the stand, and I remembered this video, or so I thought! I tried it and couldn't get it to work. :think: Maybe being 6ft short is the disadvantage. Not using my legs enough? Felt real awkward. I finally did it by lifting the rear on like I've always done it. BUT I just now re-watched video again & noticed I didn't put stand where she did. Maybe next time.

Bumping this old(ish) thread because I wanted to say that I've gotten some practice with this method, and omg is it awesome. It did take a few times to get it right, but now that I have it down, I can't imagine trying to wrestle a bike onto a stand from the back ever again. And when I say this, it's because I demonstrated the "new" vs "old" method, and I could barely get the bike onto the stand the old way.
