4/14, Michaux Rambling

Next week on Wed!

Dualsport ride starting from my Emmitsburg spot up into Michaux. This will be an easy ride open to big ADV too. Im totally open to doing some of the easier stuff at the Farm before/after our Michaux ride also.

I believe Bruce and Wes are with me. Not sure if anyone else is free during the week to ride. But skip anyway and come ride!

I was hoping to make the ride, but it looks like it isn't going to work out because of work. Hopefully next time.

I've done plenty of these kinds of rides on the big GS and the only time I've spent all day on my WR250R has been on trail rides. It's set up for longer ADV rides (big tank, racks, etc) so I'm going to being it tomorrow and see how it goes. Psych'd to meet up and ride!

It was a little rainy. We got sprinkled on for a good bit of the ride. But hey, at least it never poured.
Had a nice ride up into Michaux. No dust on the dirt roads, it was great.


Came upon some horse riders. They were having trouble w/ their horses. Horses were a little spooked and refusing to go forward. We stopped and waited for them. They finally got them moving.

On the Emmitsburg property, we scouted out a new section. It was mighty slick, especially with our dualsport bikes (with too much air in tires).

Note to self - when Phil says "follow me, it's not too gnarly" run away I am constantly in awe of how great his place is to ride but there are some challenges in there. For me. Phil, not so much

We had a great time roaming around Michaux and actually the constant drizzle was good for keeping down any dust.

Bill, this ride really got me excited for the DAMN ADV ride in a few weeks.
