Bucho wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 1:45 am It was a very nice event. Stephen and I rode together for a bit. Some neat sections, I liked the two that were through the wet creek bed.
I'm definitely enjoying riding trials, but its pretty humbling. I was riding the easiest line and I still managed to mess up a few sections.

Thanks again Mike for helping me w/ my bike.
messed up and still took first in your class!
That's awesome Phil! Jacob & I did some of these on vintage bikes a few years back & had fun but Jacob always would rather go fast.
I wish I had the dough back then for 2 modern bikes, I think we might have stayed with it. Maybe I need to find one now & give it another try

Besides that I of course want to improve my technical skill at riding (think Ive watched too many HardEnduro clips...), my main reason for a trials bike was to simply try and ride more.
Weather permitting I was going to try and ride once a week. Even if its just 30-45 mins in the backyard. And thats where the trials bike can really shine.

I enjoyed the two trials events I rode this year. I like the very laid back atmosphere. Im not going to go to every event but when they are relatively close and my schedule allows.

Its definitely fun J. But also a little depressing as there is no better way to learn how much you suck at riding than to go ride a trials section.
