SOLD: 2011 KTM 450 Xc-W Six Days $4500

Post by Rut Row » Sat Feb 23, 2019 8:05 am

I'm selling my 450. I bought this from Bonehead (see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4473). I thought I'd get back into dual-sport riding. Well, two years later and I haven't ridden it much. I spend more time on my trials bike. And I have to be honest with myself, given my family situation, the odds are very low I'll ride it much if at all. I hate to see it sitting in my garage.

Extremely low hours. It had 28, yes that is right, 28 hours on it when I bought it. It now has 38 hours.

It is pretty stock. The PO installed a Sicass Racing DS kit and got it registered. I added a heavier rear spring and a Blase Racing jet kit. It is currently plated in MD.

I don't think John's going to take it. After talking with him, he really would be better off with a WR250.

Feel free to come look at it. I'll PM you my address.

I hadnt ridden a 450 in quite a while. Almost a year ago Ken and I did a dirt road ride together. He let me take his bike out for a spin and I suddenly remembered that 450’s have a ton of power. If I wasnt on a wide open dirt road I would have been terrified with the front wheel goinging skyward in 3rd gear...

If anybody is wondering, I clarified with Ken that I'm out at least for now. Have at it. The bike looks great. GLWS

So tempting. How reliable are the lights and battery? My old WR400 had an enduro kit on it, and it was great, but that little battery was always dead, the headlight didn't work unless the engine was running and was dim, etc.

Let me see how the KLX250S runs this weekend so I can decide if I'm going to finish fixing it up or dump it off on the next sucker, cough, buyer.

Thanks,

Patrick
