There is camping at Locust Lake State Park, which is just 1/2 mile up Burma Road (away from St Clair)

Still noodling. Weather looks really crappy with rain all day on Saturday so we are thinking about Sunday where it will be just partly crappy. Will make a decision Friday afternoon based on the latest incorrect weather intel...

Do you guys still go to Valley rd area? I know they moved the parking lot.
Have you been other places?

I'm still 50/50 for this weekend, Sunday does look better.

BTW SJ- packing up Sunday morning at the campground kinda sucked. Wet and cold.

Ok, Sunday is looking much better than tomorrow, no rain just cloudy. Let's go with Sunday... I know you guys like your beauty sleep but believe me, more sleep ain't gonna help this bunch. WF needs to leave by 2:00 pm so let's shoot for kickstands up by 9 am; that probably means an 8:30-ish arrival.

So Valley Road is where I know of the most single track so that is where we pretty much go exclusively. Yes, they posted about the Valley Rd parking area moving on Facebook but the official FRO website still shows a parking area at the old site. I think that is more of a concern during the week when the mining equipment is running. Last time I was there in September (on a weekend) we still parked at the old lot without a problem. I suggest we try this again as usual. If for some obvious reason it looks like they really mean we can't park there, we will regroup at the new site. Here is the link to the new site: https://thumpertalk.com/uploads/monthly ... 6de6d8.JPG

We have been over to Burma. We can easily shoot over to Burma on Sunday if you want, I know of some ST over there. The other areas like Locust Gap are intriguing but the reports I read say the ST is MIA.

Agreed. When the wind kicked up, these giant sized green ball things started coming off the tree we were under; sounded like bombs hitting the roof of the camper. Hope you got lots of candy...
