Re: Three Springs Enduro - August 5th
One thing I like about rocks is that they bring the speeds down (the older I get the less I like going fast). Yeah, you can fall in rocks going slow but the armor has worked pretty well for me when I have fallen in them.
I do understand what you're talking about. However, the jump is not so severe as it may seem. At least I don't think so. This may seem like meaningless advice but relaxing and letting the bike do the work gets you from "D" to "C", I think. It can be tough if you're not able to get out and ride frequently. I'm betting that being relaxed (while focused) is important for shooting too. Maybe you can find some carryover.

Bucho did this enduro on his DR650 a few years ago, so anybody with a proper dirt bike has no excuse
I cant say I would recomend doing this on a DR650. But it is doable.
Way more fun on a nice 2T

Ahem... I wouldn’t say there’s no rocks in Three Springs. The last section with the grass track has a pretty knarley rocky stretch. And there is a creek bed in one of the sections that you ride down for a ways with water & rocks.... good fun!
Just sayin.

Oh yea, and Bucho is an animal.

Your not helping rider turnout Jay
The correct answer is that all of the trails are groomed perfect, and look just like a paved driveway.
All kidding aside, the trails are rideable by C class riders, but do contain some challenging sections. Nothing impassible, and the trickier spots do not go on forever. Very much like the trails at Granville’s and Boyer’s Farm. Come on out, be safe, and enjoy the ride.

Right on!
Re: Three Springs Enduro - August 5th
Holy cow, that looks exhausting and miserable! Who would put a trail in the middle of all those rocks?
