I apologize to everyone that that came on this trip. Friday wasn't too bad but today was a total cluster f&ck. The route had errors and we ended up a long way from the hotel. For those following long, we terminated early. More tomorrow.

I couldn’t get off enough days to ride with you guys so I was riding bald eagle singletrack all day Saturday. When I got back to my truck at 322 with my gaslight on I decided to try out the mabdr gpx route on my gps. There were some pretty rough storms later that evening, I hope you guys got holed up safely.

I don't have any pictures, but Juicebox has a video and hopefully he'll post that.

If adversity and errors result in fun, then this was the funnest trip in a long time. Friday was fine but cold. When we got within 60 miles or so of Lawrenceville, PA (the starting point) the temperature dropped a lot. It was cold; until then it was fine. The roads south reminded me a lot of Green Ridge and all of Friday was that way. We met up with da scrub and Laoch at the hotel Friday night just before the rain.

Saturday started with Laoch aborting and getting recalled home to perform child care duties (dude, you are RETIRED! WTF? :lol2: ). We checked out and rode down to Sheetz for the mandatory coffee and breakfast. The rain quit around 0930 or so and we took off. More roads similar to Green Ridge; lots of dense fog at the top of the ridges; great scenery.

The route errors started mid day. I missed the start to the optional section. :frustrated:

Then the FZ-09 Adventure proved its capability in a very rocky up-hill section (sadly the rider did not) and we had the only biff and pile-up of the trip. I hit a big rock and went down essentially blocking the road. Zac, unable to brake fast enough, ran into my side ( :barf: - nothing broken). It turned out okay and I got the FZ up to the top. It handled the rocks quit well!

So end of the day comes around. The rain is coming in, we are running out of gas and :censored: we are a long way from the hotel (bad routing on my part). The hotel was only 45 miles away but took 1 1/2 hours riding in the rain to get there. :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated:

THEN the hotel had us booked for the previous night and was full. :frustrated: That put us all over the edge and we cancelled the rest of the trip.

The last insult was Zac's rear tire shredded and he had to call for pickup.

I should have slept in.
