Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route
Re: Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route
So, yeah. All you really need is a couple of days and a friggin' map.
Taking an "adventure ride" isn't all that difficult.
It's funny, when I was younger we would do that stuff all the time. I'd get on my trusty Yamaha 650 Special II, maroon and chrome. Duffel bag strapped to the rear pillion/sissy bar thing and wearing a Levi's jean jacket and we would go riding.
Nowadays it's a friggin business
Anyway- pick some dates, just like the Trans PA trail . No need to plan a route, head north and stay on the gravel and back roads.
Oh yeah, hotels are for pussies and old men.

Mighty big words there Bruce!
Why do I have an image of you with a beard and a red white and blue banana riding a bike with ape hangers and a peanut gas tank?

cool - we'll meet at your place, follow you north to the start and then head south on their route.
We'll get motels with camping spots for you die-hards!

New DAMN guy here. Definitely interested in riding some or all of this this season. I was thinking ride out west to junction and cut left or right, go to end and then head back to junction and back east.

1100 miles sounds like a 3, maybe 4 day ride.
