I would say it is easier than Michaux, especially if you did all the options at Michaux. Without any Michaux options, I would say they are maybe on par but this is still easier. The last time I did it 2 years ago there was hardly any trail at all and it was mostly just gravel and forest roads. That year I rode it with Trialsrider and I think were done by 1 pm.....

Thanks for that info. I may pass, as I can ride gravel road close to home for free. Looking for more woods trails and single track.

This was a good event 2 or 3 years ago when I rode it with Trailsrider (and it went to Shade :loveit: )
But there are LOTS of choices this year with the excellent R&T Charity Ride at Boyer
And the Michaux Enduro on Sunday - which I'll probably do (close course and all start controls)
Sam Jones - Frederick MD
GL1800 DCT TRIO Tilting Trike - KTM 525 EXC - KTM 200 XCW - 2 KTM Freeride 250Rs - TRS 300 Xtrack Trials
Lots of E-Bikes/MCs
Polaris RZR 800
Lots of MTBs and Road Bikes and a BamBuk Recumbant Tandem Trike eBike

.....and that was after junior over slept! We talked about doing a second lap... I thought they were adding some of the single track back in this year?

I'm thinking about doing this on the Freeride  I'd like to do Shade on Saturday and don't feel like hauling the DRZ and doing the while two bike thing.

Three concerns- 1. it's not a go fast on gravel/paved roads- 40-45 easy, but squirrely on gravel. 2. No turn signals. Both of those issues would mean I'd have to stay in a "group" (Gene?). 3. Fuel mileage is a guess 50-60 maybe? Gas can on truck should take care of that.

Mike any input? You know the route and terrain, I haven't looked over the route sheets yet.

I have no idea of the route used this year, was not involved with any trail work or prep....sorry I can't be of more help.

So I think I will head up Saturday morning and do some of the Bald Eagle DS loop and then ride the 7 Mts Dual Sport ride Sunday. Let me know if anyone is interested in joining.

Right now I plan to meet up with Gene and company around 1000'ish at the Union Club place. I'll have the green drz (if I don't throw it in the river on the way up). We plan to ride the gravel, we'll look for you.
