Have fun on the KY Trail. I hope it's not too slippery!

I think we definitely lucked out with the leg room for this trip. Image

How'd those storms work out? We are getting hammered right now.

I'm guessing they are getting "hammered" right now too! :killingme:

Image Bucho said let's go on a short ride to shakedown the bikes. Here we are only 9 miles in sweating our asses off and getting nowhere on this hill. No rain sunshine and clouds though.

Day 1: Phill, Jim, Janis and I got to Mate-wan around 3pm, checked in to the hotel and geared up for a "warm up/shakedown" ride. 3hours and one impassable hill climb later we returned , wet, muddy and hungry to meet the rest of the crew who were thoroughly lubricated. We had a great BBQ dinner served by Mrs Kathy at the inn.

Sorry, Im having trouble posting pics for some reason. That will have to wait till I get home maybe.

Day Zero: Went fairly well. Our crew all arrived on time and we were loaded up and rolling just a few minutes past 0800. I like beejaytee's pics. We rode in proper VanOWar style, swapping moto stories and playing metal on the radio.
Got in early enough to go for a good shakedown ride. It was supposed to be a relatively easy ride but I led us down one of the single track trails #149. It was muddy but not too bad. A good test for bikes and luggage.
But yes, there was a hill that "wasnt too bad" a few years ago. But now is uber rutted out and slick from the rain earlier today. After being ourselves to death a little we headed back for a nice bbq dinner
We all are excited for tomorrow's ride.
