Yeah, I've thought about air bags for it. I'll see how I like it this weekend and decide if I'm even keeping it.

worse, though. Band vans are ripe targets for thieves. Music gear commands a high price on the street.

On a similar note a professional metallica cover band out west had everything in their tour truck stolen. Metallica replaced all of their equipment with new stuff when they heard what happened. I thought that was pretty cool. The cover band would've probably been out of work for a long time otherwise.
