2017 | Trans-PA Trail - Vertical Edition | 9-10 Sept (CANX)
Re: 2017 | Trans-PA Trail - Vertical Edition | 9-10 Sept
I think trying to do it in 2 days or less is an injustice, it's like trying to "fit it all in". IMHO 2-3 days is really need to enjoy it and plan for "awww shits".
Maybe slabbing on a faux adv bike or DR650 is fun but not on a 525 or a DRZ.
I understand if folks can't do a Friday, but get started Friday. Y'all southern folks can cross the border and head up to Michaux Friday PM.. For those with time we can explore Michaux a bit. Then, get an early jump Saturday morning. We can be at or close to the NY border in prolly 6 hours or so, eight with stops? A good full day with no real tight schedule.
Sunday we can finish up and head south, stopping at Bald Eagle (about 2 hrs from NY line) to hit the DS loop and maybe Shade??
Then back roads down south. If time becomes an issue or if someone has to cut bait, US route 15 runs straight into Marylandistan.
Just my two cents.

I like where your heads at, dirty. I'd rather take a little extra time to smell the roses than be on a mission. I also like to have a little time to "let's see where that goes!"
F*** work.

Kyler - I THINK Sept 9/10 is 3 weeks before Shen500Kyler wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:03 pmI'm targeting 9-10 September 2017.
That is the weekend after Labor Day and two weeks before the Shen500. The route creator says this is a 1 1/2 day ride so I'm scheduling a Sat/Sun. It would be a strab high-speed slab run home Sunday afternoon.
I'm quite willing to start on Friday is the majority is interested.
AND it's the SAME weekend as 2 of the best rides around here.
The Boyer Farm Weekend Charity Ride & the 7 Mtns DS!
Wouldn't Sept 16/17 be better???

Re: 2017 | Trans-PA Trail - Vertical Edition | 9-10 Sept
For family reasons (and health - mine ), I cannot change the weekend. I know there are two other events the same weekend--The Boyer Farm Weekend Charity Ride & the 7 Mtns DS. I'm quite happy to turn this ride over to someone who can lead it on a different weekend.
Does anyone wish to take over the ride and select a different date?
