Who me? This pic was taken just after I got it. All that was done at that time was some tires and the 3x3 mod.

Whoa, looking pretty serious! Did you go to a bigger rotor up front? Are those tubeless wheels? My ktm has tubeless wheels but I haven't changed the tires yet so I don't know how they accomplish that...

I think the supermotos are a lot of fun, even the wr250x (but my 690 enduro r is more fun). You live in a better place than me to go out and play on one. I'm generally pretty cautious in street riding in busy areas and I'm too lazy to ride all the way out to roads like 250 that'd be fun to rip around on. Still, I at least have a tiny bit of fun on the circles near home. ;)

They are tubed Warp 9 wheels. The front rotor is oversized and came with the extension bracket. It's also a thicker rotor so the front brake is a good bit more touchy than the thinner dirt rotor. Wheels, rotors, sprocket, chain, extension bracket, tires and tubes (installed and balanced), cush drive and shipping came in just under $1300.

Very cool. I don't suppose you'll commute on it...

I'm determined to do it at least once. It will be on a day where there's no chance of rain for the ride in or home the next day and preferably on a Saturday or Sunday ride in. I took it out for a spin today. Holy crap! It's been a long time since a bike scared me. 60 mph just off idle in 6th gear, takes off like a raped ape, and the rear tire comes off the ground way too easily with 2 fingers on the brake. Fork seal started leaking today, too.

Bad tires for rain or does the bike feel too extreme for it? With the length of your commute I suspect that one trip will be sufficient to scratch that itch. ;) I bet it'd be a lot of fun on a go cart track/mini track. I don't think there's any supermoto stuff nearby like that any more but I should do some searching. As for the fork seal, it's always something...

I think it's too squirrely for riding in the rain.

Summit Point does supermoto racing once in a while.

I was planning on sending my suspension out next week anyways, so the fork seal leaking is not a big deal at all. It's been ~3 years so I can't complain.
