I been hanging around here for around 2 years now, and finally found a place I can ride with the group!
this is my first year with a RAC permit. I ride a TE250 (1.9 gallons of fuel so not sure of the range). Older B rider in the ECEA.
I would love to go up to RAC with a group (or person) who can show me around. I will be running a GPS so I can get it all figured out.

But I have to work pretty late on 4/13 doing a firewall test :frustrated: Not sure I can make it on 4/14.
But in case, what time and where are you meeting? Do you park out on Burma Road?

Yes we can meet at Burma Rd just outside of Saint Clair, PA, 9:30am sounds like the time.

I-81 North to Pottsville exit Rt.61 south (or east?) go about 3-5 miles and you will see a Wal Mart on your left, at the NEXT LIGHT turn left, Hancock Ave (or street, lane, rd.). Within a mile it turns into Burma Rd. and has a very large and long pull off area, go about 1/2 way or more and park there. Bring a bike thats ready to ride with a full tank of fuel, some water and lunch money.
A plated ride is helpful but having a worthy trail machine is most important.

How many miles do you think your going to ride? All dirt or ?% blacktop to show us around?
Will 50 fuel range be a problem?

thanks.

All trails except the occasional short bit of dirt road as a transfer with the only black top we did last time being getting into town for lunch, which was only a couple miles of pavement.

I don't know the total number of miles we did or if a 50 mile range would be a problem. But then I have no idea the range of my bike so for all I know I'm in the same boat.

Anyone know the range of a ktm 300 exchange with stock tank?

ktm 300s vary so much with terrain, riding style make a big difference, i have gone just over 35 miles and was just about empty but with the same bike play riding or open stuff i can get 60+ miles out of a tank.

as long as its not some tiny MX tank you'll be fine, if its 2 stroke bring some oil to carry with you in case we hit a gas station but otherwise very little blacktop, unless there is a request

its a 250cc Husky 4 stroke with fuel Injection. I switch back to running the O2 sensor to try to extend the mileage. Plus I ride mostly bottom end, with a 15/50 gear ratio. Now to see if I can get out of the work schedule so I can make it.

Carry a Gatorade bottle with fuel. As soon as it'll fit, dump it in. Simple, cheap insurance. My buddy has a FI TE250 and needed that extra fuel to make the gas stop at the Hammer dual sport a couple of years ago.
old dual sported XR250R
scorpa SY250 trials
some other crap
