An organized ride, which is a pain in the ass to set up plus all the support things that go along with it.

Plus a set place and time for like-minded individuals to meet and shoot the breeze.

For $35 you get to stand in line and obey rules. :deal:

Though, for most, I get the impression that once you spend money to do something, it is a way to keep the wife from having you cancel your riding plans. :ride:

I can't relate to either.

DING! My wife's great, but "it's scheduled" and/or "it's paid for" is a great way to ensure I do it. :roost:

This ride is a bit problematic for all DAMN-kind. This is (was) our home turf. I doubt there is a road (legal or otherwise) there that some DAMN rider hasn't been on. Most of us are repugnant to pay to ride there.

HOWEVER! This is a great way to help our cause of opening more of western MD to riding.

The OHV group is functioning and gaining traction. Supporting this will help show the demand as well as help the local business embrace our cause.

I'll do it if only so I can get the GPS tracks so I can take my Dad and friend on it at a later date.

That could be an issue due to the fact that it is closed to motorized vehicles. Once an area is closed it seldom reopens. In any case I will try to attend to show my support.

The DNR will give permits to open some areas occasionally. In this case they are using all public roads and no permits were required.
