To add/subtract interest, who else would be interested in riding down and making a dual sport trip out of this? :ride: :screwy:

If I had a bigger bike maybe, but no. I'll be coming w/ a 2-stroke and a van.

There is a list on page one for people interested.
If you want to make a list for people who are definently going, I'm in.

Mid way on page #4 it looks like May 17-20 is the w/e.
Hopefull to nail down some spring vacation plans with the wife soon, then I will know if I can commit to the date.
Ovo, how about changing the thread title to show the chosen dates and then get a "in" list going.

I put in my request for time off, definitely in. Is there a certain trail head or area where we're setting up a base camp yet? Or are we going to be mobile day to day?

I am planning on having a base camp. Boom Boom sent me some suggestions other than the mentioned Colonial Hotel that I am researching this week.

Ok lets get this lodging camping question put to rest...

Boom-Boom found an DAMN sweet place for all of us to stay:

http://www.mountainlogger.com/index.html

This is a nice lodge in the Buffalo Mountain Trail Area :whoop: that offers both lodging and camping.

There a grill and fire-ring for everyone to enjoy at night :kumbaya:

Rates are pretty good: (I'll call and check availability)

Lodge Rates, April 1 thru October 31. Longterm rates are available.

$60.00 per night (for 1 person)
$80.00 per night (for 2 persons)
$100.00 per night (for 3 to 4 persons)
$125.00 per night (for 5 to 6 persons)
$150.00 per night (for 7 to 8 persons)
$225.00 per night for both units (up to 16 persons)
Three day minimum please.Children under 12 stay free.
Maximum eight people per apartment. Plus 6% West Virginia Sales Tax.
$100 refundable damage deposit required.

Camping Rates - $25.00 for RV and $20.00 a night for primitive camping.
Shower / Restroom facilities are available. Please call for availability and inquires for long term rates are welcome.

This on 13 weeks away, so as soon as I can get a few more "IN's" on the list we can start getting this booked up.

Thanks Boom-Boom for the information!!!

The Buffalo Mountain Trail System located between Williamson, Delbarton, and Matewan, West Virginia, consists of 86.3 total miles of trail. The Buffalo Mountain Trail System has plenty to offer, with not one, but two Trailheads with a two-acre parking area and restrooms.

Here is another place that would fit us:

125 a night for up to 8 people.

With lots of room to sleep - close to the Buffalo Mountain Trail too.
