For those leaving from Frederick be at the Sheetz at 1600 Rosemont just NW of US15 NLT 0745 - kickstands up at 0800.

Kyler will be there around 0730 for coffee.

Ok... Since I hate scrambling around last min.... I am starting to look and investigate routes for this ride.....

Remember, it might be a road, it might be gravel, it might be dirt, shiiiit it might be a goat path....

The 2010 route was a refinement of the 2009 route.... The 2011 one will be pretty much all new... I will have gps route sheets and will export em for roll books....

If we get another big turn out, i'm going to run it more in rallye format so 3-4 folks will run in smaller groups...

I have a similar route in a similar area that may or may not share some of the same goat trails that the NVTR 500 uses (I rode them long before I did the 500). I'll hit you with them next time I have my USB drive hooked up.

Not yet, but anything close to Casa de Dirty beats the trek to Fredneck down route 15

On a serious note, I've got some ideas, I'll look at some possible routes and post later.

Bdirt could be a good source for PA info also.

I appreciate it Ken.... If anyone has some PA routes and such - I'd be interested in seeing them as that was the was the plan that was developing in my head...

I was happy with the route last year, we didn't get bogged down as much - but we hit some of the same stuff that was on Mduyba's spring ride... Which kinds lead me to my problem... If I take the area I mapped out the last two years and head north / west - that Mdubya's backyard - and he knows most of the roads - so instead of guessing - I'd rather he lead those... If you go South / West - we hit allot of the same roads that are run by NVTR's Shenandoah 500.... We do Greenridge and the surrounding areas for the renunion.... If you go north you hit michaux, which has it's own event...

However, in some scouting - and reading - I have found a number of folks, some of which are on Adv rider - who are making Trans <insert state name > Trail rides ... Trans PA Trial, Trans NJ Trail, - etc...... Thus, I have contacted a few in hopes of getting some roads... So any rides in MD - near the PA and anywhere within PA would be greatly appreciated...

I was thinking of tring to getting started somewhere around frederick - going west and trying to make a loop that go in a clockwise loop... I have done backroads - supermoto type - all the way up to both Johnstown, and to State College... My intent would be to use these as the pavement portions - and put it some slightly more radical dirt sections that was done last year.... This way if your running SM tires or on a bigger trailie you will have fun in these sections - but may struggle a bit in dirt sections... Think perfect for a XR650l or a KTM 620Adv - which I am hoping will be road worthy at this point...

As usual... it's going to take some planning... Review of some maps.. pre-riding - etc... So any and all routes in W MD and PA - would be greatly appreciated ...
