You did a hell of a job on that video! I wish I had been able to hit that more technical section the first day.

Anyone else here get a $40 credit card charge for a 3 minute call from the pay phone outside of the hotel in WV?
Re: 2010 DS Camping Trip 777 Ride (Part Deux) - July 17/18
I made 2 calls and was charge $36 a piece. I went online and found this is a 'legal' scam by the company that holds the rights to the phone (they have phones throughout the country). The 800 number listed for the company apparently rarely gets answered (one guy said he got through and got the call down to $12). Some others have fought it through their CC company. I'm debating what to do about it. I'll probably have my CC challenge it.the dude himself wrote:Anyone else here get a $40 credit card charge for a 3 minute call from the pay phone outside of the hotel in WV?

That's the route I went. The phone had "$7 per call" listed on the front... not per minute.dc_Minnesota wrote:I made 2 calls and was charge $36 a piece. The calls showed up as $36 temporary charges on my card and when I called the company (had no trouble getting through on the 800 number shown on my cc statement) they said they would be a $5 charge to the card, and they where. $5 is still for a phone call but its better than $36.
